I think aurora_amethyst has tutorials on their journal at 1wonderment that I've come across before. In photoshop I would say try using 'overlay', 'colour dodge', 'hard light' with different opacities. There are other alternatives in GIMP or other programs but I only use photoshop so... :)
Yup, she does. I've requested some before from her. Thank you. I unfortunately use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2, I wish I could afford any photoshot. But I do have those layer optioins, still getting the hang of them. I just never mastered vibrant really good yet. I got GIMP, but I never could figure it out even with tutorials and videos. Always annoys the heck out of me.
OOHH!And also the 'saturation' setting on layers helps a lot.You'll have to experiment a bit and see.I find saturating my icon makes it instantly vibrant!
